Our Mission
Sarasota Housing Funding Corporation’s mission is to expand the supply of affordable housing in Sarasota and raise funds to support services and programs to enhance the lives of our Sarasota Housing residents.
The formation of the Sarasota Housing Funding Corp as a 501c3 affiliate of the Sarasota Housing Authority was a major step in the entrepreneurial growth and vision of the organization.

Sarasota Housing Funding Corporation is proud to have a profile on The Giving Partner website. The Community Foundation of Sarasota County oversees The Giving Partner website and works in partnership with nonprofits creating and updating profiles. Nonprofits with published profiles have made a commitment to transparency by answering questions about their results, leadership, needs and financial history.
The 2024 Giving Challenge is happening on April 9-10 2024, from noon-noon.
Funds raised will go directly to purchase gift cards for the children to shop with a Sarasota Police Officer for holiday presents at Sarasota Housing Authority’s Annual Shop with a Cop Event. The event serves to build community and mutual respect between law enforcement and Sarasota Housing Authority’s children and families.
